Austin took me on my first motorcycle ride up Provo canyon. We hiked up a little ways, laid out a picnic, had a wonderful conversation and Austin Fife asked me to be his girlfriend. I circled yes. One the way back down after two foot bridges (I chickened out) at the third, and most perfect foot bridge, Austin planted my very first kiss ever on my lips.
Today ready with the same picnic we had last year (pb&j, grapes, and fruit pizza) we headed up Provo canyon the happiest newlyweds you've ever seen. Austin is so wonderful. In fact last night he took me to the planetarium (a repeat of our second date ever). I'm in heaven.

What a gorgeous day! I was walking through BYU campus down to where the car was parked and I couldn't help snagging a couple brightly colored leaves as I passed by. It reminded me of a day when Sterling (one of my little brothers) brought home his own leaf treasures in a brown paper bag and showed mom with pride, "look at my 'bootiful' leafs." Inside his brown paper lunch bag were several brown crunchy dead leaves. Probably the ugliest leaves I'd ever seen, but to him they were "bootiful." Oh how often I search for the perfect, unblemished, just the right size, delicate, pleasently colored everything, and pass by the brown or bug eaten little guys that are so full of personality. It's no wonder Jesus commanded us to become as little children. Not "childish" but child-like.

"We tell our money where to go instead of wondering where it went"
Let me tell you, I'm so lucky that Austin loves budgeting so much. He keeps me in line. We don't have a lot of money but it is so freeing knowing exactly where it's going, why it's going, and when it's going.

It's not often you get a job that you can wake up two minutes before, jump out of bed, and open your backdoor, and then make forts!
